Fee tracking & project profitability
Profit or loss, by stage, while the project is still running.
Rosco takes the fee and hours from the fee proposal, deducts the hours already spent and the hours you forecast to finish, and costs them at each person’s true rate. The result is a live profit position per stage — next to what you’ve actually invoiced for it.

The problem
A project can lose money for months before anyone sees it. The hours are in one system, the fee is in a proposal, and nobody costs them against each other until it’s too late to act.
How the profit on a stage is worked out.
Each stage starts with the fee and the hours you quoted. Timesheet hours are costed at each person’s true rate and deducted. The hours you forecast to finish are costed and deducted too. What’s left is the profit — or the loss, where a stage is running on hours it was never given a fee for.
Forecast the finish, not just the spend.
Put in the hours you think a stage still needs and the profit updates to where the project will actually land. That’s the number worth acting on: if documentation needs another 60 hours and the fee only covers 30, you know now — while the scope conversation is still possible.
- Hours spent from timesheets, no re-entry
- Forecast hours per stage, revised any time
- Percentage of the fee used, per stage and overall
- Stage dates and durations alongside the money
Invoiced sits next to the stage fee.
Every invoice is raised against a stage, so the Fees tab shows what you’ve billed for that stage as a percentage of its fee, next to the hours spent on it. What’s left of the fee to claim is there on the same line.
The rest of it
Team and rates per project
Add who’s on the job with a billable rate and a true rate. Rates can differ project to project.
Straight from the lead
Fees and hours arrive from the fee calculator when the lead converts — nothing is retyped.
Add phases as scope grows
Tender, procurement, post-construction — add a stage and give it its own fee and hours.
Stage complete
Mark a stage complete to lock in its position and keep the forecast honest.
Practice-wide view
Every project’s profit position in one dashboard, so principals can see which jobs are burning.
Weeks or days
Read durations in the unit your programmes use.
